Denia, also known as Marquesado de Denia is a municipality with more than 60kms2 of surface area and about 45,000 inhabitants. Situated in the northern area of the province of Alicante in Spain. The region is Marina Alta which is it's capital.

Denia is a locality that is found in the north of the province of Alicante. It almost borders with the province of Valencia as well. Denia has a lovely climate in which there are no extreme temperatures and the sun is almost always shining. The average temperature during the year is about 20 degrees celsius, ideal for the practice of sports like Golf, trekking and other outdoor activities.

Fishing, the sea and the mountains define Denia. This small touristy locality also has a natural environment like Mount Montgo and the Marine Reserve of San Antonio Cape. It's historic center, the typical landscapes of a mediterrenean town, it's majestic beaches that measure 20 kilometers in distance and have beautiful golden sands in most of them. Denia is the ideal place to spend your holidays in.

This municipality has 3 peculiarities. It is bathed by the Mediterrenean Sea, and has warm and tranquil waters. It is also at the foot of Mount Montgo and the Crown of it's mosque.

It has the Natural Park of Montgo which measures more than 2,000 acres. Since 1987 it offers something extra that other levantina localities do not.
