To speak of nature in Denia is to speak of the Natural Park of Montgo, known by this name since 1987. It is a protected space with more than 2000 acres. Come and discover the beauty in Denia in Alicante, Spain. Montgo is a Natural Park located in the province of Alicante in the region of Marina Alta. It´s more than 2,000 acres extend through municipalities like Javea, Denia, Gata and Gorgos. It´s maximum height is 756 meters. This natural park is protected and has marine an terrestrial areas.
This park has a mediterrenean climate and it´s fauna consists mainly of seagulls, owels, kestrels, and the royal owl amongst many others.
In the Natural Reserve of San Antonio Cape there is a magical area where the waters are crystal clear and allow the flora and fauna to be seen clearly. This cape was declared a Marine Reserve in 1993 and occupies 110 acres. |
